Original US General Magazine Pouch with Shoulder strap and made popular by the Movie “Saving Private Ryan” when Tom Hanks used one to carry his Thompson Magazines plus (6) WW2 30 Round Magazines. The pouch was issued for Thompson’s but could be used for a variety of items, they were manufactured by a number of different contractors and all have the manufacturers stamping on the rear and U.S. on the front. There are also similar British Made Versions in a reverse Lend Lease situation.
Made of khaki canvas and ink stamped U.S on the front flap and manufacturer stamped Hoosier and dated 1942 on the rear of the pouch, in very good condition plus (6) 30 Round Magazines stamped The Seymour Product Company in Seymour, CT. in good used condition with no major dents or any rust.
