Lot 007 – WW2 US Thompson Submachine Gun Vehicle Canvas Gun Case – Un-issued

WW2 Thompson Submachine Gun Vehicle Canvas Gun Case as issued to Tanks, half tracks and Scout Cars, 2nd version allowing the gun to be held with a magazine attached for quick use in an emergency situation. Stamped on the case is – COVER   THOMPSON SUBMACHINE GUN CAL. .45   D50268  The item number D50268 was used on both the 1st and 2nd Versions of the case. Manufactured with OD Green Canvas and a full length zipper closure and 2 leather tabs with the female half of a snap for attaching the case to a rack / mount. In excellent NOS un-issued condition but the zipper is a bit stiff but works well.
