As one of Britain Commonwealth Countries, Australia was involved in WW2 and used the Thompson Submachine Gun, using other countries ammuntiion early on (British purchased Winchester and Remington “white box”) but also manufacturing some of their own in the MG Footcray Factory, produced in 1943 and 1944 (this sample in the LOT is 1943 mfg). The box has stamped on the cover – 24 CARTRIDGES S.A. BALL .450 M.G. and 3 boxes for the ink date stamped information.
Box is complete and in excellent condition with the original ammuntion and has been shrink wrapped to help protect it.
