Lot 013 – WW2 US Thompson Gun Invasion Cover – Waterproof

Original WW2 Thompson Submachine Gun “invasion” Waterproof cover as used on the beach landings to keep water out of the gun while advancing to the beach. Ink stamped – COVER WATERPROOF SUBMACHINE GUN  manufactured by the Visking Corp in a purple ink. These cover are made in various lengths and sizes for different weapons but are all for a specific weapon. Dated February 28 1945 and from the Philadelphia QM Depot (Quarter Master) and in perfect Un-issued condition with the original thin brown paper still in the opening to help keep it open and easy to load the gun into, factory folded.
