Lot 014 – 1940’s New York Police Department Photograph

Very nice photo of New York Police Department Officers on the shooting range getting instruction on firing Thompson’s, appears to be both patrolmen and detectives training. Although dated 1942 these are clearly 1921 / 1928 Thompson’s being used, NYPD were very early adopters of the 1921 Thompson Submachine Guns. Measuring 7 x 9 approximately with the photo information pasted on the rear and ink stamped. Dated May 1, 1942 and in very good condition with 1 small tear on the left side.
