Lot 029 – WW2 45 Automatic Shot Cartridge Boxes with Sample Cartridges (2) M12 & M15

Original Cartridge Boxes (2) originally holding (20) 45 Caliber Shot Cartridges, both wartime variations are in the auction lot – both the M12 and the M15 variations as is 1 sample of each of the cartridges from the boxes. One box and cartridge is from Remington Arms Corporation in Bridgeport CT and the other is from the Chrysler Plant – Evansville Chrysler. The M12 is a similar version as the original Peters Shot Cartridges from the 1920’s and the later M15 version was an updated version eliminating the paper tip which were susceptible to moisture and deteriorated quickly especially in the Pacific Theater. Boxes have been stuffed and double shrink wrapped for display and are in very good condition as are the 2 sample cartridges.
