Original WW2 manufacture of the standard Thompson 20 round magazine 5 cell pouch but U.S.M.C stamped and (5) NOS un-issued 20 round magazines in their original wrappers.
These USMC marked pouches were directly purchased from the manufacture during WW2 by the USMC QM. The Marine Corps Quarter Master were famous for doing direct purchases from various manufacturers instead of going through the regular US Army channels saving allot of time and “red tape”. The first purchase of these pouches was done on August 5, 1941 for 2000 pouches then they ordered on August 28, 1941 another 2000 pouches and finally on April 13, 1942 another 2380 cases. They were manufactured by the Russell Manufacturing Company of Middletown, CT and stamped R.M. Co. and dated 1942 (presumably some where 1941 dated, most seen are dated 1942).
This pouch is in un-issued perfect condition and comes with (5) NOS un-issued perfect condition 20 round magazines in their original wrapping from WW2.
