Lot 039 – WW2 M1A1 Thompson Submachine Gun Rear Grip – Un-Issued

Original WW2 manufacture M1A1 Rear Grip in perfect Un-issued condition. Medium brown colored wood stamped with an M on the top. Mid-War manufacture for the M1A1 without the groove cut into the top like the 1928 grips, the earlier M1 grips were made from 1928 grips so they have the groove cut into them plus the notch for use in the M1 / M1A1 Models. Then they stopped cutting the groove in the top for use with the M1A1 Model Thompson Submachine Guns once the 1928 grips were used up.
