Original WW2 plain cardboard box (no markings) with (42) . 45 Cartridges sealed, these came out of the Russian sealed “sardine style” tins and were produced by Winchester or Remington who where the makers of the early British Ammuntion. These were produced under the Lend Lease Act and shipped to Russia in huge numbers., and just like the magazine pouches have no markings on them at all except the outside of the tin listed them as 11, 43 mm cartridges for ease in identification since they used these “sardine Style” tins for various caliber ammunition. This is true Lend Lease Ammuntion in perfect un-issued condition, the box has been shrink wrapped to protect it. The cartridge’s are most likely 1941 / 42 or 43 dated – I have had all 3 Head Stamps from opened boxes and both Winchester and Remington manufacture, not sure which these are since it is a sealed box.
