WW2 produced British Weekly magazines to keep the British population up to speed on war developments, these were printed on cheap newsprint paper and it is amazing they survived all these years. Both are WW2 dated magazines from 2 different publishers with different titles – The War Illustrated and the War Fortnightly. Both have the same photo on the cover of a British Grenadier Guard on his motorcycle with a Thompson on a mount ready to go. Clearly the different publications shared the same photos and information and just presented them on different dates.
Both magazines are in good used condition and are complete, one is – The War Illustrated Vol 4 No. 87 and dated 1941 measuring 9 inches by 11.5 inches approximately. The second one is – The War Fortnightly No. 77 25 April 1941 measuring 10.5 inches by 14 inches approximately.
