WW2 original War Bonds poster for the 3rd run of bonds to be sold to raise money for the war effort, there many series of bonds sold in the US during the war. Posters were used to alert the civilians of the need to donate for the war effort, these came in various sizes, this one being 11 inches by 14 inches approximately. Made with a striking image on the poster to catch peoples attention, this particular post shows a US Paratrooper after landing with his Thompson at the ready with bold red lettering “Back the Attack”.
In very good overall condition with some chipping and it has been glued to a black backing board, fine print indicates US Government Printing 1943. Will make a very nice display, if backing board is trimmed the poster could still be framed.
