Lot 047 – WW2 Evansville Chrysler 45 Caliber Cartridge (Dummy) Box – Complete

WW2 45 Dummy Ammunition Cartridge Box Complete, the M1921 Dummy Cartridges used for Training, and packaged in 50 Round Cardboard Boxes which were in 600 Round Tins and 2 tins (1200 cartridges) in a Wooden Crate. The M1921 Dummy Cartridges were made in a few variations according to US Government changes – some with holes in the case some without, some with a dummy primer and some with a dummy primer pocket. The cartridge’s were manufactured by Evansville Chrysler Ordnance Plant in Northern Vanderburgh County, IL. they produced many different 45 ACP Cartridges for the US during WW2 . This is a less common box since they were manufactured in lower numbers compared to real cartridges, only being used for training purposes and could be re-used indefinitely. Complete in excellent condition with original ammunition and double shrink wrapped.
