One of a number of books printed by various authors during WW2 on weapons. These were meant to explain various weapons – use, cleaning, specifications etc and consisted of primarily small arms from Pistols to light machine guns. As intended for “use” by local Police, state Guards, factory guards and others in a “Homeland” Defense role.
This specific book is a small hardcover with the title: A COMPREHENSIVESMALL ARMS MAUAL FOR STATE GUARDS – REGULAR POLICE DEPARTMENTS – COAST GUARD AUXILLERIES – PLANRT GUARDS – AUXILLERY POLICE DEPARTMENTS – CIVILIANS by Charles T. Haven dated 1943, 2nd Edition. It covers a number of weapons including the Thompson Submachine Gun, it has 162 pages plus hard covers and dust jacket and measures 5 inches by 7 inches approximately. In very good condition but the dust cover is torn and missing some parts with minor soiling but mainly there, inside is very good.
