Lot 056 – WW2 US Thompson Submachine Gun Invasion Cover (Waterproof) – Un-Issued

Original WW2 Thompson Submachine Gun “invasion” Waterproof cover as used on the beach landings to keep water and dirt out of the gun while advancing to the beach. Ink stamped – COVER WATERPROOF SUBMACHINE GUN  manufactured by the Visking Corp and stamped in a purple ink. These covers are made in various lengths and sizes for different weapons but are all for a specific weapons. Dated February 28 1945 and from the Philadelphia QM Depot (Quarter Master) and in perfect un-issued condition with the original thin brown paper still in the opening to help keep it open and easy to load the gun into, factory folded.
