Original WW2 (early – 1940) 1928 Thompson Submachine Gun Buttstock Slide Assembly in un-issued condition, it is a very early Savage 1928 numbered slide assembly (5018). Savage Arms Company only numbered the buttstocks and buttstock metal up to around the 15 000 serial number gun then they stopped numbering the parts, this being a carry over from the earlier 1921 Colt Production Guns. It is a very nice shiny blued finish.
