Original WW2 (early – 1940) 1928 Thompson Submachine Gun Buttstock Slide Assembly in un-issued condition plus 2 screws, it is a very early Savage 1928 numbered slide assembly (6017) but has been re-finished in a Grey Parkerizing by the Army most likely in the late 1940’s (screws also re-finished). Savage Arms Company only numbered the buttstocks and buttstock metal up to around the 15 000 serial number gun then they stopped numbering the parts, this being a carry over from the earlier 1921 Colt Production Guns.
