Lot 065 – 1921 Thompson Submachine Gun 20 Round Magazine “Prototype”

Original hand made 20 round Thompson Submachine Gun Magazine with features of some of the earlier prototypes known. Made of slightly thicker steel for the body with a butterfly style plate at the bottom along with a flat plate to hold the spring inside the body. The rear hole is hand drilled and the follower appears to be hand formed as well, spring is slightly different and made by hand (same style as later springs). Magazine has no markings and in very good used condition except the front lip is bent down as seen on other later magazines..
