Lot 082 – WW2 Thompson Thompson Submachine Gun Vehicle Canvas Case (1st Pattern)

Original WW2 (early) Thompson Submachine Gun Vehicle Canvas Gun Case, made in early Khaki canvas with a full length zipper and 2 leather strips with a female portion of a snap. These cases were used in Half Tracks and Tanks to hold a Thompson Submachine Gun, the only problem with them being they could not hold a gun with a magazine inserted, this was fixed with the second variation later in the war. Stenciled on the front is:
