Original US General Magazine Pouch with Shoulder strap and made popular by the Movie “Saving Private Ryan” when Tom Hanks used one to carry his Thompson Magazines. This pouch was issued for Thompson’s but could be used for a variety of items. A slightly different one came out later in the war for the Grease Gun Magazines and was in a dark OD Green canvas with a very wide shoulder strap. These were manufactured by a number of different contractors and all have the manufacturers stamping on the rear.
Made of khaki canvas and ink stamped U.S on the front bellow the flap and manufacturer stamped Amer. Fabrics Co. and dated 1942 on the rear of the pouch, in perfect un-issued condition and one of the less common marked pouches to find.
