Category:

WW2 Auto-Ordnance  Paper Grouping (2), Auto-Ordnance finally started to produce the Thompson Guns themselves instead of only the subcontractor (Savage Arms Corporation in Utica, NY.) building the Thompson so they found an available building (old brake show manufacturing plant) retro fitted it and  was in operation starting in 1941. The paper grouping is from the factory period in Bridgeport, CT. the first item is a paper target from the Auto-Ordnance Factory Pistol Shooting Team, used with some holes but still very good condition with some pieces breaking off because the paper is becoming brittle over all these years, should be framed to protect it and it would look fantastic. The second item is a WW2 magazine advertisement which has been pulled out of a 1940 magazine (half page advertisement), page measures 9 inches by 12 inches approximately and has the New Factory address of 1437 Railroad Avenue in Bridgeport, CT. in excellent condition. The advertisement and the target are very difficult to find especially the target since most were just thrown away after use.
